EDITOR
Amaze Entertainment, Austin, TX, 2007 - present
Associate Producer/Writer
•    In addition to having written a Hulk comic book, I also wrote and produced a SEGA video game based on the 2008 film "The Incredible Hulk." I continue to manage an incredible team of artists, designers and programmers on a variety of games. Here's more about the super-talented group at Amaze: http://www.amazeentertainment.com/

HorseBack Salad Entertainment, Austin, TX, 2006
Project Manager
•    As a project manager for several animation projects, I kept track of the scheduling and deadlines for a team of artists on several projects. One was a multi-episode animated series based on children’s books by Trevor Romain. They are great for helping kids deal with issues big and small, like homework, cliques, fear, even death and divorce. You can see them here: http://www.comicalsense.com/

Humanoids, Inc., Studio City, CA, 2001-2005
Managing Editor
•    Humanoids was a lot of work and well worth it. I'm very proud of the work I did coordinating a prooduction schedule for 80+ graphic novels, recruiting and managing relationships with more than 70 freelance writers and artists, and implementing the launch of a 35-book publishing line in partnership with DC Comics. I worked with some of the most talented writers and artists in the world on beautiful graphic albums and I'm lucky to still be friends with many of them to this day. If you want to check out the books, just follow this link: http://www.humanoids-publishing.com/

AirTightPlanet.com, Los Angeles, CA 2000-2001
Vice President, Content Development
•    Here I produced animated online comic books in conjunction with film directors Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Renny Harlin and The Humanoids Group.  We produced 135 online graphic story episodes (675 minutes of content) that never saw the light of day thanks to the end that particular dotcom.

Platinum Studios, Beverly Hills, CA 1996-2000
Vice President, Creative Affairs
•    Now this was a trial by fire. I worked for Scott Rosenberg at Malibu Comics and he asked me to help him start this new company. I managed dozens of projects simultaneously, creating pitches for feature film and television properties. This was my first time working closely with freelance writers and artists to create presentation materials. In just 4 years I developed pitches resulting in 8 feature film deals and 1 television series with major Hollywood studios including Universal, DreamWorks, Showtime, Miramax, New Line Cinema and Dimension Films. They're still setting up projects today, some of which are based on characters I created while I was there: http://www.platinumstudios.com/

•    I was also a Brand Assurance Account Representative at Warner Bros. Consumer Products, which meant looking at all kinds of products featuring Looney Tunes characters to make sure the characters were drawn correctly. I had to reject quite a few submissions there. My favorite was the one with the Looney Tunes in gang outfits posing in front a car that had been stripped and was up on blocks. Not exactly the image Warner Bros. wants for their beloved characters.

•    Let's not forget my first gig in the comics business as Executive Assistant to the President of Malibu Comics. It was my big break, but only lasted 4 months before our parent company, Marvel Comics, laid off nearly the entire company. Marvel laid off the rest of the company months later and it wasn't long before Marvel filed for bankruptcy to reorganize its debt.

SUPERMODEL
•    Seriously, is the entire Internet big enough to list all of these credits? Just open a magazine, turn on a television or head for your nearest catwalk and you can't help but to see me.

And an old friend who wasn't sure she was getting in touch with the right Paul Benjamin asked me to add a quick note for those who are interested: Yes, I'm THE Paul Benjamin who grew up in Oklahoma City, went to camp in Texas and received a college education in Arizona before moving to LA and then the great city of Austin, Texas.
